Exploring Community Connect with Heritage in the South West of Lough Neagh

quarto are delighted to work with Lough Neagh Landscape Partnership for the second time on a project that examines the multiple ways in which communities relate to their landscapes, focusing on the peatlands to the south-west of Lough Neagh. Peat has been dug there for domestic and industrial uses, and the peatlands are home to diverse flora and fauna. quarto worked closely with local communities to understand what this landscape has meant, means now, and will come to mean in the future for people living there. We are currently developing active learning resources for there Key Stage 2 curriculum to encourage local primary schools to utilise the moss fully in as part of their World Around Us history, geography and science teaching plans.
